3 Downloads This Week :O

So this week, I present you with 3 free songs. The reason I give these out is because iTunes offered them free, but then the bands/songs became big hits. So I feel that if you missed out on that, you deserve to get the song anyway because, hey it was once free. So here you go:

Great DJ-The Ting Tings

D.A.N.C.E.-Justice

Here (In Your Arms)-Hellogoodbye

Contrary to popular belief, I am occasionally ahead of the awesomeness curve. More on that later (possibly more on it next week with more free free music). Also, I mislabeled "Great DJ" and "Here (In Your Arms). So just switch it when you pull it up in iTunes.

My Weekly Opinion

Hey, I get one a week. Why not use it?

One thing I really dislike is the two extremes of capitalization. There's those that feel EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE IT WILL GET NOTICED MORE!!!1!!1!!1! That's annoying. Then there are those who feel all the letters should be equal and thus, nothing is capitalized. moby does this and it annoys the heck out of me. i had to fill out a form on his website once to get some music for split, and i'd hold down the shift key, but nothing would happen. it would be "brian marquardt, saline mi, saline high school, etc." Capital letters are there for a reason, use them.

Aside from that, if I ever make it big in film, I need a sound guy. I hate syncing sound and trying to find an atmospheric piece to go with a shot. I'm fine putting an awesome song to some video, but I struggle in finding music to go with awesome shots.

As a side note, The Delivery will be out tomorrow (today because it's morning). I just need to put it in two parts because Youtube's stupid like that.

3 French Hens, 2 Turtle Doves, 1 Cup

I like the title :D

So this is the random part of my blog, where I spew out random whatevers. Here it goes.

Fallout 3 is a pretty awesome game. I've been borrowing the guy down the hall's copy for like a month now, so that attests to its addictiveness. The nifty fifty's soundtrack is probably the best part of the entire game though. It's all here, so go listen to it.

I saw Taxi Driver the other day. It was alright.

I hate editing, with a firey passion. Unfortunatly, I don't trust anyone else doing that job. I have a vision for my movies, and I like to see it maintained throughout, from the written script, to the filming, to the editing. I don't mind being the one man film crew too much. It's tiring, but oh so rewarding when it's all done.

Going off that, my new movie, The Delivery, is almost done. I'll hopefully finish editing it tonight. Check out the regular trailer here:

New Music Wednesdays

I didn't let you down did I? It's officially Wednesday, so here's music/what I'm listening to.

Pistolero-Juno Reactor

Such Great Heights-Postal Service

Walking on a Dream-Empire of the Sun

Three notes on this. One, other than Such Great Heights, Postal Service kind of sucks. Two, Pistolero is from Once Upon a Time in Mexico and is in an awesome action scene, so go see that movie. Third, if Walking on a Dream makes anyone else want to do a Michael Jackson dance, post in the comments and make me feel not so weird :)

Depressing Stuff

You know what depresses the crap out of me? Movies that have someone on death row. Like Dead Man Walking and Monster's Ball (which sucked by the way). Maybe it has something to do with staring death in the face, and knowing there's nothing you can do to stop it. I don't know. It depressed me today.

But then I got a CD on ebay for 85 cents, so I'm happy now :D

Declaration of Principles

If you don't get the title of this post, it's from Citizen Kane. Except I can't tear this one up and hold myself up in Xanadu for the rest of my life. Anyway

So I figure I'm going to lay down some ground rules for this blog (for Jon and Sara anyway, since I figure I'm not going to get much more readers than them).

1. I won't give you my opinion more than once a week (unless it pertains to movies). I hate reading long opinionated posts, so I won't post those.
2. Free music every week. Let's say Wednesday? It's a good day for free tunes. And if I forget, oh well.
3. I won't rant but once a month. See #1
4. The title of this blog has random in it, so don't expect anything to follow an order.
5. I won't update you on every little thing I'm doing. I want meaning behind this, not just some stupid Twitter feed.

That's about it. Thought I'd let people know where I'm rolling with this. I'll keep you all entertained best I can, as I see no real point in having a blog still.

PS. Also, The Godfather is x20 better than Citizen Kane

PPS. Rosebud is the sled

What I'm Listening To

So, you might think that with the titles of these songs, I have something on my mind...

I don't.

Anyways:

Make Love-Daft Punk

To Get Down-Timo Maas

Just for Sara

Only reason I'm doing this.

I don't think I have much to say, but I'll put some crap on here.

Occasionally a rant, mostly nothing, other times randomness, I'm thinking pretty often free music, because everyone likes that.

And they will be short.

Like this.
